Long considered one of the world’s great cycling destinations we look forward to showing you how this reputation was earned. With its unique micro climate and picture postcard views Provence embodies the very best of the 'Mediterranean lifestyle'. Riding on roads that are part of cycling folklore we take you on a sensory journey that will live long in the memory.
We endeavour to embrace the elements of the good life that Peter Mayle so articulately depicted in his 1989 book ‘A Year in Provence’ and yet try to stay true to our ethos of always seeking the road less travelled. Our itinerary presents many highlights of Provencal life, culture and history as we meander our way through the region. As a bonus we also take you into the fascinating neighbouring region of Languedoc-Roussillon.
The region has a rich Roman heritage we will visit some of the most well preserved remnants of this great empire on our journey; interlacing cultural and historical highlights from our more recent past with insights into that more distant era. Cycling through landscapes painted by Cézanne and Van Gogh it soon becomes clear why so many distinguished poets and painters chose to make Provence home.
