Local Cycling Trips – Immersive Adventures
Our local bike trip experiences make up a carefully crafted collection of smaller, more focused guided cycling tours that complement our entire range of Epic Cycling Adventure Tours. All of the cycling trips below have been designed to help guests relish the most beautiful regions in Europe and beyond. Whether your passion is cycling the stunning coastal roads of Sardinia or sitting down to a sumptuous picnic in the Provencal countryside, we have you covered. Our Local Cycling Trips are truly immersive, with a focus on the best-hidden gems to be found in each region — all experienced through the eyes of a local guide.
How do our Local Guided Cycling Tours Differ from our Epic Cycling Adventure Tours?
Hotels: Mostly 2-3 night stays at excellent boutique hotels or a centre based tour from a single villa or chateau.
Kms per day: In general, these tours are designed to accommodate a broad spectrum of abilities with a lower ‘regular’ distance complemented by daily extra loops.
Cultural Activities: A focus on guided tours, wine tastings, local food experiences, historical background and discussions with trained guides.
Plus Tours – Collaboration Between Ride and Seek and Tourissimo
Beppe Salerno of Tourissimo and our own Dylan Reynolds of Ride and Seek first worked together on tour back in 2001 and, since then, they’ve both built successful companies that offer cycling tours in Italy. While Ride and Seek offers epic cycling adventures that follow historic routes in Europe, Tourissimo focuses on mostly weeklong cultural cycling trips with a strong focus on the gastronomy in the places they visit.
We’ve combined our expertise and strengths to come up with a line of tours that offers the best of both worlds. PLUS Tours are weeklong adventures that focus on cycling, history, culture, and gastronomy. They’ll include guides from either company who are experts in the areas where the tours are focused. The collaboration was rewarded with an amazing achievement: Bicycling Magazine Travel Award – Best Hidden Europe Category with Friuli and Slovenia.
